Clean Up Village Creek Canoe Race | PM Magazine (1982)

At Village Creek State Park, visitors can get lost in the woods without ever leaving Lumberton city limits. Located on the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve, the park encompasses multiple forested habitats—from wetlands to piney woods to longleaf pine savanna—each with its own distinct native plants and wildlife. Broadcast on Beaumont's KFDM-TV on October 7, 1982, this PM Magazine segment profiles an annual canoe race benefitting cleanup efforts for Village Creek.
